The Era handlebar was designed from the ground up with a narrowed stem clamp area to allow both a quicker taper and an earlier rise to achieve RaceFace’s meticulously researched Goldilocks (GL) tune. GL tune is the sweet spot for compliance preferred by most riders; stiffer was too harsh and softer was too flexible. Nearly 100 individual pieces of hand-laid carbon fiber are bound together using a toughened epoxy resin with a specific layup for each bar variant. This construction delivers the highest strength-to-weight ratio and reduces arm pump and hand fatigue. The UD Carbon design and construction provides a consistently compliant feel in every width and every rise. The Era handlebar is designed for the abuse of All-Mountain and Enduro riding, even on full-power e-bikes. The max stem clamp width is 60mm and is not compatible with wider stems like Direct Mount stems.
