Exposed to temperatures that are too low or too high, batteries tend to degrade. The ideal storage temperatures are between 10° and 15°.
At ambient temperatures around 20 degrees, a battery loses about 3% of its charge per month.
Our advice:
A charging cycle every 4 to 6 months at a minimum during prolonged inactivity helps lithium batteries maintain their efficiency.
Another point, storing them with a charge level between 55% and 75% allows for increased longevity.
NEVER store them below 5% charge, as any battery will tend to lose its effectiveness over the long term. Remember to recharge them after each use.
